Week 4 - Tall/Skinny or Short/Wide

Wow! Look at those fabulous cards! & Week 4 Card

Gee guys you really have risen to the challenge this week! Thank you I am sure we are all very inspired to go ripping up some paper! Welcome too to our new copycaters! Aren't their cards fabulous!

Small change in procedure...I thought it would be a good idea if you have a blog to leave a comment with a link to your card rather than going to the trouble of emailing it to me - that way you will save time and hopefully get more traffic over to your place! If you don't have a blog it is still of course fine to email me the card.I will be sure to look at the comments regularly but if you find I haven't uploaded your card by the Thursday of each week feel free to hassle me about it!! lol

WEEK 4 CHALLENGE IS...Tall/Skinny OR Short/Wide - That's right step out of your comfort zone and make a DL sized card. I have to confess to hardly ever making this size as it seems a little hard to get the proportions right but hey, I have made two and would love you to COPY ME!!

The prize this week is from our sponsor Creative Living Media - publishers of the wonderful and inspirational AUSTRALIAN PAPER CRAFTS MAGAZINE!!

The winner of Week 4's copycat will be chosen by our talented DT member Susan who is also going to choose the challenge for Week 5 AND is very kindly donating a prize from her HUGE scrap stash - Don't miss it!!

I can't wait to see what you make!

Week 3 - Rip It Up! entries

Week 3 - RIP IT UP!!!

Okay, so I used to use tearing a lot when I first started scrapping...then I stopped - it seemed too cruel to rip those lovely designer papers...well now I am cardmaking I generally use scraps so a little tearing wouldn't be so bad would it???

OF COURSE NOT!! and that's what I want you to do this week - rip up some paper and add it to your card! Let's see how creative we all can be!
As a reward for all of your hard work www.scrapsidaisy.com will offer 5 packs of gorgeous KAISER rhinestones to the person who has been the most creative in their tearing!

Come on - take out the frustrations of the week and give it a go...be a copycat!

Thank you Australian Paper Crafts

Wonderful news! The lovely Jessica from Australian Paper Crafts magazine has organised for a huge blurb to go in their latest issue about our very own cardmaking blog copycatcards!!!

Thanks to Jess and I can't wait to meet some enthusiastic APC readers and hopefully see their cards!!

Week 2 Challenge - BRADS

Wow those country cards are lookin' darn fantastic! Thanks to those who joined in - hopefully more of our CCC friends can join in this week.

OUR CHALLENGE THIS WEEK IS TO ADD SOME BRADS!!! These are the sorts of must have embellishments in our stashes but let's make them the centre of attention. Be creative...use mini brads to make shapes and swirls, use large brads to make a statement, use patterned brads as your focal point...I am going to give it a try - COME ON WHY DON'T YOU BE A COPYCAT AND GIVE IT A GO TOO!!

I can't wait to see them!

2008-Week 1-In the Country

Welcome back Copycats!

Sunday, January 6, 2008

We're baaaaaack!!

Hi all! Trust you had a very HAPPY Christmas and New Year and are keen to get back into some super card making in 2008! I have already had a couple of people ask when CCC will be back as their card stash has become depleted over the break and they need some inspiration to start re-stocking!

So without any further delay...the first challenge is...

SOMETHING FROM THE COUNTRY - think horses, cows, pigs, checked papers, metal embellishments, rustic textures and colours!

THE RULES - Just a re-cap for those new people joining us. We will aim to have a challenge every Sunday. Cards will be due by the following Saturday and will be placed on this blog for all to enjoy. You may email me the card or a link to the card at barwell@aapt.net.au. Please keep images small so my inbox doesn't go crazy!
There will be prizes some weeks when we have some available -other weeks your reward will be another great card to add to your stash ready to brighten someone's day! Some weeks judging will be random, other weeks I will ask the Design Team or a guest to judge the cards. Copycatcards MAIN aim is to inspire each other to try new themes and techniques and of course to make new cyber friends - hope you can join in!!
