Great resource!
Hi there - hope your Friday is going well! I just wanted to share with you a great place to get some free downloads - it is the site of one of our major sponsors, Australian Paper Crafts - The link is http://www.australianpapercrafts.com.au.
You can download FREE projects and subscribe to their newsletter if you want to be updated on news and new projects.
Oh and if you love a chance to win some blog candy (freebies as we call it here in OZ) then I am offering up some new Bella! products on my blog all you have to do to be in the draw is to leave a comment - for extra chances to win you can subscribe to the blog which, of course is absolutely free. I subscribe to several blogs and love reading my emails of a morning jam packed with cards etc to drool over rather than just the usual business ones and spam!
Aren't the sympathy cards looking great? There's still time to send yours to me if you were thinking of joining in but haven't got around to it yet. Oh and I suppose you are all wondering what scrumptous Lizzie Anne stamp I am offering as a prize? Well I decided because of the great response I will give away NOT one but TWO SIMPLY SINGLES STAMPS (RRP $31.90!)... Remember there's still time to enter...just make a card and email it to me at barwell@aapt.net.au. All names will go into a random draw and the winner announced this Sunday.

Week 7 - Challenge
Wow can you believe we have been going 7 weeks! I cannot thank everyone enough for playing! What was a spur of the moment idea has turned into one of the highlights of my week! I hope everyone else is feeling the same way!
Now, onto the challenge. Sadly, I needed to make a Sympathy card this week and found it quite difficult. You want the card to say "I am there for you", you perhaps don't want it to be overly colourful but not overly sad and morbid either - very tough. So...I decided to throw the challenge to you talented ladies to show me what you do. Do you prefer to write "With Sympathy" or is "Thinking of you" more your style? Do you like the recipient to be cheered up by a bright card or do you prefer to use subtle colours and designs to reflect the mood. I would love to hear your comments on this very sensitive subject and also, of course to see your cards!
Here's mine to start - it is more a darker red/wine colour irl but you get the idea. I stamped some roses inside and also "Thinking of you" on the matching gold envelope. On offer this week for one lucky cardmaker will be one of my gorgeous Lizzie Anne stamps. I will choose one tonight and let you know what it will be plus the winner of last week's dazzling diamante buckles.

Week 6 - Mid Week - Inspired by a child
Front
Inside
Hi there - this card appeared on my desk this morning - one of the darling little surprise gifts I often receive from my sweet son Harrison. Maybe you have been given a sweet card by a child or have seen something in a child's artwork to inspire you? Perhaps a child's doodling is something that appeals? My challenge for you is to make a card inspired by something childlike. Look for interesting kindy fonts, use KindyGlitz, textas, stamp & colour, doodle, add comic or cutesy type animals...the ideas are endless!

My Inbox is feeling sad...
Have I scared off everyone with this week's challenge?? Pretty please have a try...just add a little star on a card or a little circle to represent a planet...it's not THAT hard is it??? Plus you could win a fabulous stamp from Printblocks...
BTW...I am feeling so inspired - I have been off to visit the Lizzie Anne Designs website. As you may know scrapsidaisy.com are the only Australian stockists of these stamps - and in the excitement of finding the site, ordering, receiving and loading the stamps, I haven't actually been back to the site to check out the gallery until tonight and WOW you won't believe the quality of the cards there - you just HAVE to go take a peek...go on but don't be too long as remember you have a card to create and email to me...
